Turning a 600K+ member talent community into a new revenue stream

Updated: 12 hours ago
The challenge
The company had built something most brands only hope for: a talent community of 600,000 people with a 6% engagement rate. That audience was valuable for recruiting, but it wasn't generating revenue on its own. Companies wanted to reach this audience, and there was no way for them to do it.
The approach
Kady created a product that let companies reach the community in a way members would welcome.
Sponsored learning events: designed events where partner companies could co-market and advertise to the community by sponsoring sessions that taught members something useful
A new product line: packaged sponsorships as a product the sales team could sell, giving the company a new way to monetize its audience
Community-first programming: every event was built around learning, so sponsor visibility came with real value for members instead of interrupting their experience
The results
A new revenue stream for the company from its existing audience
$150K sales pipeline for sponsored events
600K-member community with a 6% engagement rate, now generating revenue as well as talent
Free learning opportunities for members, strengthening the community instead of selling it out
Average of 450 attendees per event, giving sponsors a large, engaged audience every time
Why it matters for staffing firms
An engaged talent community is more than a recruiting tool. With the right offer, it becomes an audience employers and partners will pay to reach, and the members benefit too.
Sitting on an audience you haven't monetized yet? Let's talk.
